  • Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is an innovative type of regenerative medicine that utilizes your body’s own growth factors to facilitate healing. PRP uses your own growth factors to assist in healing. In office, a small amount of the patient’s blood is drawn, and blood is placed in a centrifuge. The platelet rich plasma is isolated and growth factors are activated. The PRP is given back by injection into joints or soft tissue and can also be applied topically to wounds. PRP may also be used for hair and skin rejuvenation, fade scars or fine lines, improve joint pain and to decrease inflammation.

  • Debridement

Debridement is the removal of damaged, infected, or dead tissue to promote wound healing. By removing unhealthy tissue, debridement accelerates the healing process, allowing the growth of new tissue and preventing bacterial growth. The frequency and type of debridement performed will be determined based on the patient and wound type.

  • Low-Frequency Mist Debridement

Low-Frequency Mist Debridement is an alternative form of debridement, utilizing fluid to remove debris, bacteria, biofilms, and non-viable tissue from the wound bed. This technique transforms the wound environment, promoting vasodilation, and accelerating tissue growth. Low-Frequency Mist Debridement is non-contact and generally painless to patients.

  • Negative-Pressure Wound Therapy

Negative Pressure-Assisted Wound Therapy (NPWT), otherwise known as Wound Vacuum-Assisted Closure (Wound VAC), is a non-invasive therapy that draws out excess fluid and decreases air pressure on the wound. A special foam is cut to fit the wound and is sealed with a film. A tube is attached to a small opening in the film and is attached to a vacuum canister. The vacuum gently removes the excess fluid, helps new tissue grow faster, and helps to pull wound edges together. NPWT is beneficial for many types of wounds, including burns, pressure injuries, diabetic foot ulcers, and chronic wounds.

  • Compression Therapy

Compression therapy is used for patients with poor circulation and swollen extremities. When swelling in the extremities causes the skin to expand and break, it can lead to open wounds. By supporting the veins, compression therapy increases circulation and reduces swelling in the legs. This prevents the formation of ulcers and encourages the healing of wounds in the lower extremities.

  • Total Contact Casting

Total Contact Casting is used to protect, treat, and heal ulcers by reducing pressure and redistributing weight off the foot. Resulting in quicker and more effective healing, the cast consists of a soft foam layer, a hard shell, and a lightweight customized boot. Total contact casting is considered the gold standard of treatment for diabetic foot ulcers.

  • Cold Laser Therapy

Our Erchonia laser is a non-invasive, painless, and drug-free treatment that uses low-level light therapy (LLLT), or cold laser therapy, to treat a variety of conditions like pain, inflammation, poor wound healing, acne, and much more. The device is directed over target areas to enhance cell metabolism and promote a healing response. Time and number of sessions vary depending on the patient and condition.

  • Ozone Therapy

Ozone therapy involves the use of medical grade ozone to treat diseases or wounds. Ozone is a highly reactive form of pure oxygen, that triggers a healing response within the body. Known for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and analgesic properties, ozone effectively stimulates the immune system and facilitates wound healing. Administered through various methods, ozone therapy is used to treat a wide range of conditions.
